Preparation for the International Legal English Certificate (ILEC) exam.
The course prepares students for the ILEC (International Legal English Certificate) examination in May 2009. This internationally-recognized examination is set at levels B2 to C1 of Common European Framework and it tests English in a legal context. The course is valuable to those working and training in the legal profession, to people working in management, human resources and other fields where a knowledge of legal issues and terms is necessary, and to students who are still following university courses in these subjects.
The course deals  with every aspect of preparation for the exam and students will be provided with specialized training in exam techniques, as well as detailed practice of all the language skills required. The essential specific vocabulary and topic areas are all explored in classroom discussion, backed up by homework readings and exercises. Some examples of the topics covered are: company law, property law, contracts, intellectual property, negotiable instruments and competition law.
